AUTUMN HALF TERM HOLIDAY SCHEDULE
From the end of 25 to 28 October
- 14:00 to 16:00 – Own a Pony afternoons, Tuesday to Friday – £120.00
- Minimum age 6 years
- Maximum of 6 children
- These sessions are aimed at children who are not yet riding independently and they will be led during the riding part of the course.
- Tuesday to Thursday will include 1 hour of stable management and 1 hour of riding in a group
- Friday will be a competition and gymkhana games
HELP NEEDED FOR THE RDA AT KINGSTON RIDING CENTRE – September 2016
Do you have some spare time on Wednesday mornings during school term times?
Would you volunteer a couple of hours of your time to help the Riding for the Disabled (RDA).
The RDA are in need of some help leading horses for their group at Kingston Riding Centre. Some confidence in handling horses is ideal but not essential as the RDA group will provide the rel event training.

BHS RIDING AND ROAD SAFETY TRAINING AND EXAM SEPTEMBER 2016 – We are so proud of all of the people who sat this exam with us on Monday 26th and well done to the eight people who passed.
We plan to run another one in the Spring.
BHS STAGE 1 TRAINING 2016
Who is this qualification for?
The BHS Stage 1 is suitable for anyone aged 14 years and over who cares for and/or rides horses regularly. It is designed to give you a good foundation of equine knowledge and a solid base on which to build your riding skills.
Why should you do the BHS Stage 1?
Working towards and completing a qualification is a great way to learn new skills and increase your motivation and self-confidence. The skills and knowledge you acquire whilst working towards this qualification will contribute to the increased safety for yourself and horses. The Stage 1 is also the first rung on the professional ladder of BHS qualifications, and is itself a recognised qualification.
What will a person with their BHS Stage 1 be able to do in a professional environment?
A person with their BHS Stage 1 will be able to work under supervision, and have the basic knowledge and skills to look after a well-mannered horse in the stable and at grass. They will be capable of riding an experienced horse or pony in an enclosed space.
Training at Kingston Riding Centre
A course of 20 one hour group Stable Management sessions starting on 9 September 2016 at 18.30 (please see attached lesson schedule).
There will also be two one hour BHS Stage 1 standard group riding sessions, one on Thursday at 19:00 and one on Saturday at 15:00.

We are so proud of all of our young riders and would like to share the following:
The Under 16 Hickstead Team came 8th at the London Schools 2016 dressage competition.
Ella took her horse Jo Jo to Wimbledon Pony Camp 2016 at Pachersham and her grandad Joe Mastroianni is so proud of her. Ella got 1st rosette in the Intermediate Group, 4th rosette Overall for Camp and the Most Versatile Pony trophy.
Kate and Bill have continued in their amazing journey, wining the M&M first Ridden Championship, and then went on to win Supreme Champion at the Longines Royal International Horse Show 2016. We are all very proud of Kate and extremely proud of our Bill.
EVENING PIMMS HACKS INTO RICHMOND PARK
Sadly due to the nights now closing in early, we can no longer offer our Pimms Hacks, but they will be back for next summer.
We are currently running our one and a half hour evening Pimms hacks on Friday evenings. Enjoy the beautiful views of London from Richmond Park whilst having a relaxing glass of cool Pimms. Can you think of a better way to unwind at the end of a busy week.
We leave the stables at 6:30, stop for a glass of Pimms by Pen Ponds about 7:00 and then continue with the ride, finishing back at the yard at 8:00.
All that for only £70.00.

Sophie will be taking one hour hacks into Richmond Park on Thursday evenings leaving at 7pm and on other evenings by arrangement.
£46.00 for one hour of riding before the sun sets over Richmond Park.

CHILDREN’S BIRTHDAY PARTIES
If you are looking for something different for your children’s birthday party, how about an hour of gymkhana games, with the opportunity for them to have 30 minutes of hands on grooming of the ponies afterwards. We can offer parties for up to age 13 with a maximum of 12 children on our wonderful school ponies.
