Children's Holiday Courses Intensive Courses
Helpers Courses
Children's Holiday Courses
Held each school holiday, these courses are for children from 8 years upwards. Normally they run from Tuesday to Friday 2pm until 4pm.

The children spend one hour riding in a small group in the indoor school. Then they have one hour stable management tuition learning the basics of horse care.

On the final day of the course they have gymkhana games with rosettes and a small test on their stable management knowledge.

The courses are always a great success, and as well as improving their riding skills and knowledge, the children become more confident around horses.

We also run courses for more experienced riders which may include dressage, show jumping and cross country lessons.

Helpers Courses
The helper’s course is for children age 10 years or over. The aim of helpers on the yard is to enable young people to gain experience and confidence around horses, whilst helping the staff at KRC in the running of a lively and busy yard. At the end of the 8 week course the participants would then be able to come and either be Helpers at the yard, if they wanted to, or else would have gained a valuable insight into the care and handling of horses. The course ends with a test of their skills and hopefully the awarding of a Helpers badge.

Intensive Courses
For any client requiring intensive tuition, tailor-made to their needs. Ideal for those taking their BHS Stages, riding competitively or purely for personal gain.
